Abstract

ABSTRACT

ICM and SRI rice cultivation technologies that have been widely developed in Indonesia emphasize the optimization of land and plant resources. Increasing productivity is done through increasing the number of tillers per clump, which is expected to increase the number of panicles per clump. This goal is realized with the results of increased productivity achieved 6.76 tons / ha, where the number of productive tillers per clump increases in line with the increasing number of total tillers, but the percentage of sterile tillers (non-productive tillers) is still quite high, ranging from 22-25%. The purpose of the study was to get an overview of the most appropriate population density and dose of manure to increase the productivity of paddy rice. The research was a 2-factor factorial experiment, in a Randomized Group Design (RAK). The factors tested were: Factor I. Population density with spacing approach : (J1) population density 225 per plot or 250,000 clumps/ha (spacing 20 x 20 cm), (J2) population density 144 per plot or 160,000 clumps/ha (spacing 25 x 25 cm), (J3) population density 100 per plot or 111,111 clumps/ha (spacing 30 x 30 cm) and (J4) population density 64 per plot or 81,632 clumps/ha (spacing 35 x 35 cm). Factor II. Dosage of manure with rate approach : (K1) 4.5 kg/plot or equivalent to 5 tons/ha, (K2) 9.0 kg/plot or equivalent to 10 tons/ha and (K3) 13.5 kg/plot or equivalent to 15 tons/ha. The results showed that the treatment of population density of 225 per plot or 250,000 clumps/ha (spacing 20 x 20 cm) with the application of manure 13.5 kg/plot or equivalent to 15 tons/ha produced the highest yield per plot 7.20 kg and yield in tons/ha of 7.99 tons/ha.
